I started weight training in high school and competed in my first bodybuilding contest at the age of 17.  I competed in the sport of bodybuilding for a few years and later discovered my real passion was in figure competitions.  I received my IFPA Certification and have been a Personal Trainer since moving to Boise in 2004.  I continues to compete and currently hold a AFBB Pro card.  I have trained many competitors with contest prep, including diet and posing.  I desire in  helping others reach their fitness goals come from my own experience of accomplishing mine.  “I love this sport because whether you win or lose on stage, you wear your trophy every day.  Being healthy or fit is not just the reward of looking good, but you feel good and that reflects on everyone around you.  That inner strength and confidence is just as rewarding.  Your competition is really not with the others standing next to you on stage, it is with yourself and knowing you are at your best!  If you feel good with that, then you are a winner!”

I was featured on BodyBuilding.com, as amateur fitness competitor of the week. This led to opportunities to work out with Jamie Eason, fitness spokesmodel for BodyBuilding.com!

I have an 8 year old daughter who is the joy of my life.  Together we enjoy hiking, biking, camping, running and golf.  “Being active, weight training and proper nutrition are keys to a better quality of life and it is never too late or early to start.  It is ultimately the best thing we can do for our children.  Lead by example and the whole family benefits.”

I have been blessed to meet some awesome people and life-long friends through Personal Training the sport of Figure Competition.  It has been very gratifying to be able to help others achieve their personal fitness goals. I believe everyone is stronger than they think both mentally and physically!
